Our deck staining process includes cleaning, sealing, and staining to restore beauty and protect the wood.

Cleaning & Stripping Deck Surface

Each successful Wood Deck Restoration project start with surface preparation. The first step is to strip and clean previous Stains, Mold and Mildew on the wood surface. We use professional grade strippers and Cleaning Solutions to ensure every inch of the Deck is Cleaned. We use softwash technique to ensure that the wood surface is not damaged in any way. Wood Brightener is used after cleaning to get the wood back to the original look.

Sanding

The second step is Sanding. Even with careful application and Softwash Technique, there will be furring in the wood surface which has to be Sanded down in order to provide a smooth surface for best quality results. This is a very time consuming process which takes about half a day on average on medium sized decks. Inexperienced Contractors might skip this step to save time and money which results in sub standard results leaving unsatisfied customers.

Staining

Finally, it's time to give the deck a makeover it deserves by applying high quality self leveling stains. The most critical aspect of staining is to ensure that there is no overspray on the building or surrounding areas and hence proper masking is essential. We apply our stains with a combination of sprayers and brush and rollers to ensure that every inch of the deck is covered and has an even look and finish.
